Been laying low for a while, real life is crazy busy now. I will return soon!
Been laying low for a while, real life is crazy busy now. I will return soon!
Today someone learned a few things.
I warped into the mission, worlds collide. There was a Tengu and a Drake. Almost as soon as I grabbed something, both of them locked and fired. I burned in and locked the Tengu down while a corp mate brought in a logi ship. Although I didn’t need it he started giving me some cap and the Tengu started shooting him too.
Now with both of us having agro, me in a frigate and my corpmate in logi, my corpmate grabs his Abbadon of doom. At this point the Drake decided that it was getting to scary for him and he left the Tengu to suffer a quick demise. The Abbadon locks the Tengu down and I swap out to my Tengu. To my surprise by the time I have switched ships, the target was almost down! With the Drake like fitting, he had the sig radius of a small moon and was an easy target. Tried to ransom, but his tank just melted and he went Pop!
So this morning before I go to work I figured I might as well log in and check out what is going on. Turns out several fellow ninja’s are having some fun with a drake, deciding to kill it with just frigate sized ships. I hop in my basilisk and start providing some rep and get shot. At this point he is nearly dead so I am burning towards my orca to how into a hawk and get in on the action. Everyone kindly holds fire until I get a few shots in and he dies.
It gets even better with the chat log, courtesy of qu1ckkkk who started it all:
I made this video a while ago, I still use this method today.
After a brief departure, I am now getting back into the ninja business. This was celebrated by my first two kills of the week.
For the first kill, I got a lonely drake to shoot at my bait ship. After engagement he was burning out towards random space. Normally this wouldn’t be much of a problem but he was faster than my Orca could go. This wasn’t a problem as it wasn’t a deadspace mission. Jumping in always landed at the same spot but you could warp within the pocket. I piloted the Orca away from the battle, and at 150km I turned around and jumped the Orca in. Hotswapping to my Tengu, I made short work of the drake. Pop!
The second kill took a bit of social engineering. He wasn’t shooting, so I snagged his mission objective. I then convo’d him for a ransom. He would only give me 500k, and only would do it in a station. This wouldn’t do, so I jettisoned it and told him if he didn’t send me 500k I would blow it up in 30 seconds.
This got his attention and he made a run for the goods. As soon as he grabbed it, he was scrambled and his corp made locks me and releases drones. Before they got to me however, his corp agro ran out! With my corp having agro vs him, and only him able to shoot back I brought in my alt with a disruptor on it and held him in place while swapping out to the Tengu.
After getting him to half armor, he ejected! This turned out to not be as good as it seemed as his corpmate sat there keeping his ship locked so I couldn’t board it. This was a bit irritating, so I destroyed it anyways. Pop!
